We have many fond memories of visiting Meadow Gardens between Christmas and New Year, as we returned home from spending Christmases with Doreen's mother & sister in Manchester. Our journey time across the Pennines was always difficult to predict, so our arrival time was somewhat vague. Despite the uncertain arrival time, Josie & Ray were never bothered and a delicious dinner was soon ready to be served to both families around the dinner table. Several courses were served and merged with mid-afternoon coffee and cake. We also enjoyed the conversation(s) especially when Josie was free to sit down and many interesting subjects were discussed. It was always a problem reaching a conclusion so that we could proceed with our journey home. Thank you Josie for making us so welcome.
